JPMusic

JP is a storyteller working at the crossroads of psychological horror, Southern Gothic, and dark folklore, where every story begins on the page and sometimes escapes into sound.

His fiction explores obsession, guilt, rumor, and the quiet violence people do to one another — often set in small towns where secrets rot slowly and everyone swears they’re innocent. His short stories and poems lean into unreliable narrators, moral collapse, and the thin line between myth and memory.

Under the name Wordslinger, those same stories are reimagined as music. Each track is a narrative — a short story set to brooding hip-hop, hard rock, or eerie atmospheric beats. The writing, structure, and direction are JP’s; the voices — human or synthetic — are chosen to serve the story, not the other way around. Some songs feel like confessions. Others sound like warnings.

JP doesn’t separate writing from music.
He treats music as another way a story can be told — another mouth for the same voice.

Whether on the page or through headphones, his work asks the same question:
What happens when the truth finally starts talking back?

Every song I release starts as a story. I’m a writer first — horror, Southern Gothic, psychological suspense. Some stories stay on the page. Some of them ask for a beat, a voice, a pulse. My fiction turns into music under the alias Wordslinger. Same characters. Same secrets. Same consequences. The writing, structure, and direction are mine. The voices — human or synthetic — are just another part of the cast.
